In recent decades, if something is conditioning the main changes in our society, it is technology. Technological advances increasingly affect all areas of our life. Learning to adapt to them and being able to take full advantage of the advantages they bring us will allow us to access infinite possibilities and improve our quality of life. This we can apply to the education of our children and use new technologies as a complement in the classroom for children.

There are notable differences between older people, for whom it is sometimes difficult to naturally integrate certain technologies into their day-to-day lives, and those who have already been born into the digital age, who have grown up between screens and feel totally comfortable in this universe of electronic devices.

One of the areas that is changing enormously thanks to technology is education - with the headaches that this is causing many of the most veteran teachers. And it makes perfect sense, because it is important to approach each generation based on their particularities, and if today's children and young people are digital natives, we will find it easier to connect with them and capture their attention if we speak to them in their same language and use the same supports that they perceive as a friendly and close environment.

Trying to turn your back on new technologies in the educational system would be a mistake, since digitization has arrived and is here to stay. While it is true that much has been said about the harmful effects of the abuse of electronic devices by minors, the key is to find a balance between reasonable usage time and appropriate content at the respective ages.

These are its benefits:

- The technology allows us to complement teaching with powerful resources graphics and audiovisuals, with new learning methodologies that greatly enrich the teaching work and provide the student with much more attractive, innovative content in accordance with their abilities and preferences.

- Today there are abundant quality mobile apps and educational resources to be used both within the classroom, as a complement to the teacher, and at home, as a tool for reviewing and internalizing the content for students.

- Even younger children can access apps designed specifically for them They allow them to have fun while discovering new concepts, developing their creativity, working on mathematical skills or skills such as logical thinking or visual acuity, and even learning and practicing a language.

- The use of digital resources such as cartoon videos, catchy music and educational games manage to capture and hold your attention for longer and in a much more efficient way than the theoretical classes of traditional methods. In addition, the fact that this type of application requires the interaction of the minor makes it feel like part of the process and represents an additional stimulus to learning, by becoming a playful and integrative experience and in the discovery of a world to explore.

Fortunately, more and more schools are favoring the incorporation of these new technological tools into their methodologies for working with children. It is a challenge, but without a doubt the results cannot be more than positive.
